English Language Proficiency Requirement

TOEFL

The minimum TOEFL score for undergraduate admission is 73 (iBT) with minimum scores of 17 in the Speaking and Writing sections.

The minimum TOEFL score for graduate admission to all departments except the Department of Communication is 80. UWSP’s Graduate Program in Communication requires a minimum TOEFL score of 91 for admission.

IELTS

The minimum IELTS score for undergraduate admission is 6.0 with no sub score below 5.5.

The minimum acceptable IELTS score for graduate admission to all departments except the Department of Communication is 6.5. UWSP's Graduate Program in Communication requires a minimum IELTS score of 7.0

Scholarships for International Students

More than 50% of international undergraduates receive ISSO scholarships each semester.
