English Language Proficiency.

Official Test Scores. Students must submit test scores based on the level they will be entering: undergraduate or graduate. 

Undergraduate

Test scores from one of these standard college entrance exams, ACT or SAT, is required of any student who applied for admission to UNF as a freshman or sophomore (with less than 60 college level credit hours). The required test score is determined by the high school grade point average.

SAT - Minimum scores required for all students on the SAT is 460 Critical Reading and 460 Math.
 

ACT - Minimum scores required for all students on the ACT is 18 on the English subsection, 19 on the Reading subsection, and 19 on the Math subsection.

Graduate

Graduate students will need to submit scores for the GMAT or the GRE depending upon the graduate program they are applying to for admission.

GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test).Students must score at least 20 on the verbal component and 22 on the quantitative component of the GMAT. A minimum score of 500 is required of all applicants to the Master of Accountancy and the Master of Business Administration.

GRE (Graduate Record Exam). Scores must be submitted for any graduate program other than Business or Health Administration. Minimum scores requirements vary per department with scores over 1000 (combined verbal and quantitative components) being the most competitive.

Tuition Assistance for International Students

Latin American and Caribbean Program

Students from Latin America and the Caribbean (including Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands) are eligible to receive Latin American - Caribbean (LAC) Scholarships at UNF. In order to qualify, they must be admissible to UNF under existing criteria for undergraduate or graduate programs and meet other standards. These scholarships provide out-of-state tuition waivers for international students from eligible countries.

Non-Florida Tuition Waivers

Recipients must be registered students in good standing with the University of North Florida, with at least one semester of course work completed at UNF. Awards are based on the amount of waivers provided to the International Center each year and are reserved for F-1 students. The selection criterion is a mix of academic performance and financial need, as well as extracurricular and work activities. Students who apply for consideration through the International Center and are selected will be required to perform 25 hours of approved community service
